Before joining HRA, I had always written songs and played at open-mic nights, but I felt like I needed to go into a professional recording studio to achieve that ‘perfect’ sound. I was waiting for someone else to save me.

Learning that there is no right or wrong when producing my music, I have let go of my perfectionism and now have the freedom to create and explore my sound. I learnt more in an hour-long workshop with Isobel than I had ever learnt from school. She breaks down ‘techy’ information in a way that is accessible for everyone. HRA has taught me that I can do it all myself!

Now, I have the skills to share my voice and stories with others which has brought meaning to my life. Thanks to HRA, I have never felt so fulfilled.
