HI, Nice to meet you!

HI, Nice to meet you!

You've always known that you're an artist at heart.

You process the world through your creativity and a life without creative self-expression just isn't an option.

You know your music has a bigger game to play and that you'll always have that itch to explore what you could do in this world as a woman in music.

Sometimes, you may have experienced challenges because of your gender. People might have underestimated your skills or your potential and there's certain spaces that still feel 99% male-focussed.

One of those spaces could have been recording studios, music production or just music-tech in general and this could have put you off developing these skills as much as you know you'd like to, or even getting started.

You know you neeD to record YOUR MUSIC

... and you just might even fancy producing it too ;-)

You'd love to be to learn in a non judgemental, female-focussed space and you know that if you could overcome those familiar feelings of imposter syndrome and self-doubt, you could finally make recordings of your songs and share your music with the world.

You actually may even believe you could thrive with music tech (or even just master the basics) if it felt creative and fun, rather than like a boring, instruction manual.

YOU'RE IN THE RIGHT PLACE

If you're reading this right now and thinking "yep, that sounds about right!" I'm so glad you've found this space.

I founded The Female DIY Musician on a bedrock of community and a passion for helping more women record and release their music with a commitment to treating every musician holistically as an individual.

Through my free content, my paid online training programs and anything else I might offer — I'm in this to help you grow new skills for making and sharing your music in a female-focussed, non-judgemental space.

Whether you’re just starting out, returning to music or growing your musical reach and artistry, I'm here to help you prioritise your creative potential and tap into the self-belief and wisdom within you.

There is no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ way to record and share your music, and I have made many mistakes along the way.

What is clear, though, is that it's vital to have the right support, tools and a step-by-step guide to help you set out on this big music adventure.

Most of all, believe this: You should record your music because...

The studio is an instrument and no one else can play it like you
