Before Home Recording Academy, my future felt quite bleak because I wasn’t able to share my own music. I’m 50 years old and have been singing other people’s songs for the last 20 years. I wanted to record my own music but just didn’t know how. Then another ten years came and went and I thought I’ve got to do this now! So I enrolled in HRA for my 50th birthday and it’s the best present I’ve ever had!

After taking your Funding 101 Bonus Masterclass inside Home Recording Academy, well, I applied for some funding ... And I only went and got it, didn’t I !!!!! I followed all your advice by the letter and am now the recipient of £3,000 worth of funding from Leeds City College to write and record a 10 track album (having recorded one song ever, I’m going to be recording 10!!!!) It feels like such an achievement. The funding body’s exact words about my busking project was … “what’s not to love about it”!!! Do you know how good it feels to be chosen like that?

I came into Home Recording Academy just wanting to record my own songs, now my life is just incredible!!! Seriously Isobel, if it wasn’t for you and this course, I would never have looked at funding, let alone applied for it! I know things like this are now possible. Because of being successful in this funding application I am now starting 2022 with a clear vision for my music. I’ve even said to people that I could die now because I’ve done what I set out to do.
