HOME RECORDING ACADEMY

Real stories from one of a kind female musicians who started with courage and ended with self-produced, professional recordings of their music.

This is Aga's home recording academy success story

AGA OLEK

“Thanks to Home Recording Academy, I am now working on my first, self-produced album. There’s nothing that can stop me!”

Before Home Recording Academy, I perceived myself mostly as a performer and songwriter. I was initially a classical violinist, but I’ve spent years working on my music to be considered as part of the more commercial, or independent sector, rather than classical. I was using music technology as part of my work, but I found the production aspect complicated and usually used another producer’s help to finish my music.

Isobel's approach and the belief that I can do it was big for my development. I gained confidence, a sense of belonging and that continuous, wonderful feeling of having a tribe. HRA and the community became part of my everyday life. I started to understand that recording and production is part of my creative process and this was a real game changer for me.

After going through HRA, I have the confidence and tools to be a self-sustainable musician. Only two or three years ago, I believed that I would never be able to produce my own music, and now I’m recording and producing an album by myself! It’s given me the opportunity to say through music exactly what I want to say, I don’t have to change my music for anyone. There’s nothing that can stop me from recording and releasing my music now! Thank you, Isobel!!
